Common Problems
In my experience, most of the problems associated with the installation and set-up of YAMon are actually related to configuration issues within your router's firmware and/or idiosyncracies between different firmware variants. This is a compendium of the some of the most common issues:
- No USB port on your router
- Incorrect USB settings in the DD-WRT GUI
- Either a badly formatted drive or drive in poor health
- Incorrect DHCP Settings
- PrivOxy and/or UPnP enabled in the DD-WRT GUI
- Scheduled Router Reboots at 12AM
- Incorrect IPv6 Settings
- Installation problems
- Bad / out-of-date firmware
- Losing your YAMon Settings
- Other?!?
You can find addition help at the following locations:
- the Help page
- threads at your firmware forum:
- the YAMon Facebook page
- If all else fails, please report installation specific issues to install@usage-monitoring.com and other questions/feedback to questions@usage-monitoring.com.
You'll make the process a whole lot easier for me if you provide details of the problem and include screenshots, a copy your logs (by default, in `/opt/YAMon3/logs`), a copy your data files (by default, in `/opt/YAMon3/data`), etc., etc.
